When Sami Shamum College in Beer Sheva opened its campus in January 2005, Merage Foundations Israel supported "Homesh aleh” Mechina for Lone Soldiers program during its inaugural three years. Designed to assist soldiers interested in studying engineering upon their discharge, the program provides the academic studies needed to enter this rigorous course of study, so the transition from army life to student life is as smooth and seamless as possible.
