2009 `Gaza War` emergency project

With the start of the Gaza war , Dec 2008, the Merage Foundation immediately stepped up to assist the citizens of the Gaza Strip, surrounding settlements, along with the soldiers and reserves in the area, in accordance with the immediate needs rising on the spot.

The Merage Foundation focused on two main targets:
The children and youth of the southern settlements:
- Subsidized fun activities for the children living in the missiles range with the Dimona community center staff and the Ayalim association students.
- sending more then 20 Artists` delegations to perform for the citizens sitting in shelters.

IDF soldiers and reserves :
Refreshment Kits, including Magazines, books, warm shirts, socks, gloves, hats and sweets, were distributed amongst injured soldiers and soldiers in the battle fields. All ingredients were purchased from Gaza surrounding businesses and the books and magazines were donated at cost fee.

These activities could not have taken place without the collaboration of the business world, which donated/subsidizes the supplies or their worth in money, and its precious time and energy; and the volunteers and non-profit organizations, which are familiar with this kind of activity on an everyday basis, consistent in hard work and effort.
