The Kiryat Shemona Village was built at the end of the summer of 2006, right after the second Lebanon war, and was populated by 26 students in its first year. This is the first urban village of the Ayalim Association and the family center there has become an example for social activism. This model of family center was replicated in all of the Ayalim villages. Today there are 80 students living in the village and studying in Tel Hai College.
