Merage Foundations - Negev, where dreams come true

Ashalim Village

The Adiel Student Village was the first of nine Ayalim villages. It is located near the community of Ashalim under the jurisdiction of the Ramat Hanegev Regional Council. The village offers its young residents opportunities to experience a lifestyle rich with Zionist content that transcends the familiar urban environment.

At present, the village is home to 80 students and will be the Ayalim Association's Negev headquarters. The first 25 of the 118 planned permanent units were constructed from unique environmentally friendly earth bricks.

Residing alongside the permanent compound is a temporary compound that was built by the students themselves in the first years of the association. It hosts many diverse activities including student seminars and conferences, consulting programs for young entrepreneurs, and public diplomacy programs aimed at advancing the interests of the state of Israel.

At the center of the village are two special projects initiated by the Merage Foundation - Israel: a beautiful park with a small fountain and shaded benches, and a 150-tree olive grove which will serve as place for tourist groups to learn about olive oil production.
